Over 1 million wildebeest, 300,000 Thompson gazelles and some 200,000 zebras relentlessly tracked by Africa’s greatest predators, migrate in a clockwise fashion over 1,800 miles each year in search of green pastures (July-October to Kenya & December to March to Tanzania’s Serengeti)

Getting There

Tourists can visit these safari locations once in Kenya and can show up via air, land or ocean, however, flights are the most favoured mode of transport. Kenya is a huge nation and while you can go via vehicle on a safari circuit, getting between the various regions is better on a booked flight.
Kenya's main airport is Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO), located 15km/9mi southeast of Nairobi. Kenya's second international Airport is Moi International Airport (MBA), located 9km/6mi west of Mombasa, but aside from flights to Zanzibar, this is primarily used for domestic and charter flights.
From Nairobi or Mombasa, one can fly or drive between reserves, or opt to do a bit of both. Most domestic flights out of Nairobi depart from Wilson Airport (WIL), 6km/4mi south of Nairobi.

Vacations Quest offers the best advise possible on different Holiday destinations in Africa and beyond. We make your vacation planning simple by saving you time and money as we piece together your dream holiday ideas into a memorable experience. From thousands and a never-ending number of safari and tour companies bidding for your business, it is often difficult to decide which safari company you should work with. Who should you trust your money with? How do you know who is genuinely an expert in their field? Every safari company seems to say that they are the true experts! Even more confusing is the crazy cut-throat prices floated all over the internet for same products! All we can ask is that you compare ‘’zebra to zebra’’, scratch beneath the surface and find out how experienced a company, and especially your consultant, really is...
