The Makgadikgadi Pans offers an incredible opportunity to spend a morning with a local meerkat colony. As the sun rises, they cautiously come out of their burrows and deeming it safe, scuttle to the highest points to scout for predators and food. Sometimes these lookouts happen to be your shoulders or head.
