Selous is one of the largest game reserve areas in Africa and is a beautiful and majestic place. The game reserve has a large number of animals and birds including lions, elephants, giraffes, and the African buffalo. Selous also provides more activities compared to other parks. These include a bush walk safari, boat safari, game drive, and camping safari. A boat safari in the Rufiji River in the afternoon is another great way of game viewing. This park is now known as Nyerere National Park.

- Day 1 - Fly from Zanzibar to nyerere National parkBoard your flight from Zanzibar to Selous. Arrival and pick up will be at the Zanzibar airport and Mtemere Airstrip by our guide, and then proceed to the lodge for breakfast. After breakfast, you will continue with a full-day game drive with a bush lunch inside Nyerere National Park which offers fascinating scenery and wildlife. After lunch, we will proceed with the afternoon game drive until sunset, then return for dinner and overnight at your accommodation.

- Day 2 - Game drive and Sun set boat tripThis is a full day of game-drive enjoyment and it will begin after your breakfast. You will enjoy your morning game drive when the animals come out in search of food. This will day will give you an experience of the authenticity and beauty of African wildlife. Selous Game Reserve is the largest in Africa, covering 54,600 square kilometers. In the afternoon, you will have a picnic lunch break where your guide will select a location with shade and water nearby to watch animals coming to drink and the sounds of birds singing and chirping. In the evening hours you will leave for Fantastic sunset boat safari along the Great Rufiji River. Awesome views of hippos growling, crocodiles basking on the banks, and abundant birdlife will spice up your spectacular dusk!

- Day 3 - Nature walk and Fly out back to ZanzibarAfter an early morning cup of tea/coffee, you’ll depart the lodge and make your way into the reserve for a walking safari accompanied by an armed ranger. The park has a variety of vegetation zones, ranging from dense thickets to open wooded grasslands. After this awesome walking safari, you will be transferred back to the lodge for a full English/ Continental breakfast. You will have ample time for check-out and transfer to Mtemere Airstrip for your scheduled flight at around 16:15 hrs to Zanzibar.
