This 3 day Mid-range Tanzania safari was designed to offer our clients an intense taster of what Tanzania has to offer. You will experience the excitement of an African wildlife safari in spectacular landscapes. On this safari, we visit Tarangire National Park which is well known for its elephant families and iconic Baobab trees. - Day 1 - Arrival in ArushaYou will be picked up from the airport by a Lion King representative and driven to your accommodation in Arusha where you will stay overnight. Accommodation:

- Day 2 - Tarangire National ParkYour safari guide will collect you from your accommodation in Arusha and drive you to Tarangire National Park (approximately 2 hours). Tarangire is best known for its elephant families, savannah, iconic baobab trees, seasonal swamps and the life-giving Tarangire River. Animals gather at the river and giraffes, bushbuck and hartebeest are often seen. The Park is also home to buffalo, zebra and wildebeest. These animals are closely followed by a range of predators such as lions and leopards. From the open roof of the vehicle you will be able to absorb the landscape and watch the wildlife.

- Day 3 - Ngorongoro CraterRise and shine! It is an early departure to the lush highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Once you have reached the crater rim, you will drive down a steep track into the 600 m deep caldera to see a range of animals and birds. The caldera (collapsed volcano) is home to over 25,000 mammals ranging from the “Big Five” (lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, leopard) and more than 500 species of birds. After an extensive game drive and a picnic lunch in the crater, you will return to Arusha, where you will arrive in the early evening.

Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) is situated 46km/29mi east of Arusha, the gateway of Tanzania’s most popular Northern safari circuit.

Travel Requirements
- All foreign visitors need a passport that is valid for at least six months
- Passports must have a clean and a full visa page for endorsement.
- When arriving from a yellow-fever-infected country in Africa or the Americas a yellow fever vaccination certificate is required.
- Citizens of most countries require a visa. A list of countries that don't need a visa is available.
- Visas are best obtained in advance through an official online visa-application portal (https://eservices.immigration.go.tz/visa/), but they can also be obtained through your local Tanzania Embassy or High Commission.
- Visas can also be obtained on arrival but this is a lengthy process that can take one to two hours.
