  • Day 1 - Arrival in Arusha

    Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro or Arusha airport, you will be picked up and taken to Under the Shade Safari Lodge. If time permits, you can opt for an Arusha city tour, visiting attractions like the Cultural Heritage art gallery, the local market, and the Maasai Market. This allows you to experience the cultural highlights of Arusha before settling in at the lodge.

  • Day 2 - Arusha to Tarangire National Park

    Today, your safari adventure begins! After breakfast, we will pick you up from your lodge at 7:40 am. You’ll embark on a 2-hour drive to Tarangire National Park, renowned for its large elephant herds and impressive Ancient Baobab trees. As you explore the park in your open-roof vehicle, you’ll have the opportunity to witness the seasonal swamps, vast savanna, and the wildlife-rich Tarangire River. Keep an eye out for a variety of bird species, graceful giraffes, elegant impalas, zebras, lions, leopards, elands, warthogs, and majestic elephants. You will enjoy a picnic lunch at a picturesque site with a stunning view, followed by more game viewing. In the evening, you’ll head to Ngorongoro Marera Mountain View Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

  • Day 3 - Karatu to Serengeti National Park

    After breakfast, you will begin your journey to Serengeti. The route ahead will take you through a long and occasionally bumpy road, providing you with approximately 4-5 hours of captivating game viewing as you ascend the crater highlands towards the vast plains of Serengeti. If the weather conditions allow and visibility is clear, a 10-minute stop will be made at Ngorongoro Viewpoint, offering you a glimpse of the breathtaking caldera before continuing the drive to Serengeti.


    You will enjoy a delightful picnic lunch along the way, allowing you to refuel and take in the surrounding scenery. Upon reaching the park, an afternoon game drive will be arranged for you to fully immerse yourself in the abundance of wildlife. As the sun begins to set, you will make your way to your accommodation, where a delicious dinner will be served, followed by a restful overnight stay in the tranquility of the Serengeti.

    Experience a full day of adventure in Serengeti National Park. From sunrise to sunset, embark on an exhilarating game drive, seeking out the magnificent Big Five and discovering a diverse array of over 500 bird species. As the day draws to a close, return to your accommodation at sunset for a delicious dinner and a restful overnight stay. For an added cost, you can elevate your experience with a hot-air balloon safari or a walking safari.

  • Day 5 - Serengeti to Ngorongoro

    Today, you will have an early start as you wake up in the morning and gather in the safari vehicle by 6:00 am. The purpose is to embark on a sunrise game drive, taking advantage of the prime time when the animals are most active. After an exhilarating wildlife encounter, you will make a stop at a scenic picnic site nestled in the heart of the bush. Here, you can savor a delicious breakfast surrounded by the untamed beauty of nature.

    The game drive will continue until noon, allowing for further exploration and wildlife sightings. At this point, you will break for lunch and then proceed towards Ngorongoro. In the evening, you will arrive at your accommodation, where a delightful dinner awaits, followed by a comfortable overnight stay. Enjoy the warm hospitality and tranquility of the lodge as you prepare for more exciting adventures in the days to come.

  • Day 6 - Ngorongoro Crater

    Today, we will start our day early by getting into the safari vehicle at 6:00 am. Our destination is the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater, where we will descend with our packed breakfast. This extraordinary place is home to a wide variety of wildlife indigenous to East Africa, including the rare black rhino, which we might be fortunate enough to spot. With an expansive area of 260 square kilometers and a diameter of approximately 20 kilometers, we will need around 5 to 6 hours to fully explore its wonders.


    After an unforgettable experience in the crater, we will make our way back to Arusha. Anticipate reaching town around 5 to 6 pm, bringing an end to our memorable safari adventure.
