  • Day Day 1 - Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Let the journey begin with a great breakfast at your Kampala or Entebbe hotel, followed by a briefing from our Company guide and a transfer to south-western Uganda for your Primates and Cultural Tour. With his anecdotes about the towns and stopovers along the way, your guide will make the ride instructive and exciting. The Uganda Equator crossing will be your first stop along the Kampala-Masaka highway. You'll take photographs and participate in experiments that demonstrate the Earth's division into Northern and Southern hemispheres. Continue your travel till you arrive at Mbarara, the picturesque town of milk and honey, for lunch, and then to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for check-in, dinner, and sleep. Travel time: 8-9 hours. Meal Plan: Lunch and Dinner.

    Main Destination: Bwindi Impenetrable NP

    Accommodation: Four Gorilla Lodge

Meals & Drinks: Lunch & Dinner Included

  • Day Day 2: - Mountain gorilla trekking and transfer to Mgahinga Gorilla
Set out for the jungle to track the assigned gorilla family after breakfast and a briefing from the Ranger guides at the Park Headquarters. Trekking can take anything from 30 minutes to 3 hours, depending on your pace and the gorilla family's location. Spend 60 minutes with the gorilla family, taking photos and taking notes on the crucial information the guide provides. Before going into the jungle, make sure you have a walking stick, rain jacket, hiking boots, a bag, and drinking water. Return to the Lodge for a hot meal after your hour with the mountain gorillas. Later, pack your belongings and check out of the Lodge for a transfer to the nearby Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, which is another fantastic gorilla trekking destination as well as the only place in Uganda to see the endangered Golden monkeys. Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Main Destination: Mgahinga Gorilla National Park

Meals & Drinks: All Meals Included

  • Day Day 3: - Golden Monkey Trekking
A typical golden monkey tracking day begins with breakfast and converges at the Park Headquarters (Ntebeko Visitor Center) for a training on how the activity is handled and how to comport oneself when in the presence of the monkeys, similar to Mountain gorilla trekking. Because the golden monkeys generally occupy the lower slopes dominated by Bamboo forests, golden monkey tracking normally lasts between 30 minutes and 2 hours, and visitors are given one hour with the rambunctious animals, just like gorilla trekking. Return to the Lodge for lunch, leisure, and supper, followed by an overnight stay. Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Main Destination: Mgahinga Gorilla National Park

Meals & Drinks: All Meals Included

  • Day Day 4: - Batwa Trail Experience and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
In comparison to the brief Batwa cultural tours that most tourists are familiar to, the Batwa Trail offers a more thorough experience. Imagine spending 4-6 hours in Mgahinga Forest learning about the Batwa pygmies' distinctive ancient lifestyle before they were evacuated. After breakfast, proceed to the meeting area where Batwa guides and porters will be waiting for you. This activity is led by the Batwa to allow them to directly benefit from tourism. After being briefed, go on a walk through the forest to identify the different plants/leaves and fruits that were cooked for soup, plants/leaves/roots for traditional medicine through a visit to the traditional pharmacy, learn about their ancient hunting skills, how Bamboo was used to make cups, and finish with an exhilarating cultural dance at the Ngarama Caves. Return to the Lodge for lunch before heading to Lake Bunyonyi, the ideal place to unwind after a strenuous climb through the jungles. Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Main Destination: Mgahinga Gorilla National Park

Meals & Drinks: All Meals Included

  • Day Day 5: - Full day Lake Bunyonyi
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before setting off on a morning boat or canoe journey to see some of Lake Bunyonyi's beautiful islands, particularly Punishment Island, where you can hear about his tragic historical tragedy (girls that became pregnant out of wedlock were abandoned here). During the boat journey, look for different bird species and then return to the Lodge for lunch. At the afternoon, go swimming in Lake Bunyonyi's bilharzia-free waters or go on a community walk to learn about a different culture (Bakiga) than the one found in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. For dinner and overnight, return to the Lodge. Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Meals & Drinks: All Meals Included

  • Day Day 6: - Departure
