You'll enjoy a one-hour flight in a small plane, and upon landing, our safari manager will greet you and provide an overview of your 5-day safari. Afterward, a professional safari guide will pick you up and drive you for two hours to Tarangire National Park. Tarangire is renowned for its large elephant herds and impressive baobab trees, the largest in Africa. From the open roof of your vehicle, you’ll take in views of seasonal swamps, savanna, and the wildlife-rich Tarangire River, home to diverse species including birds, giraffes, impalas, zebras, lions, leopards, elands, warthogs, and elephants. Later, you’ll head to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

- Day 2 - Transit Game Drive to Serengeti National ParkAfter breakfast, you’ll set off towards the Rift Valley, passing through the cooler areas of Mto Wa Mbu and Karatu in the crater highlands. As you enter the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, you'll stop briefly at a viewpoint to admire the crater. Continuing your journey, you’ll navigate the bumpy road down the other side, passing Maasai villages on your way to Serengeti National Park. At the Naabi Hill entrance, take a short walk to a viewpoint offering stunning vistas of the Serengeti plains. Then, you’ll head to the Seronera Area in the park’s central region, where you can expect to see an array of wildlife, including the Big Five: lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard. In the late afternoon, you’ll arrive at the Serengeti Heritage Tented Camp, nestled in a quiet spot in the bush, where the night sky is spectacular. Lunch will be served along the way.

- Day 3 - Serengeti National Park Full Game DriveToday, you have the option to rise early for a sunrise game drive, giving you the chance to encounter rare nocturnal species as well as early-morning diurnal animals. This is an ideal time to see wildlife up close, as many animals gather by the roadside to avoid the morning dew. After breakfast at your camp, you'll spend the entire day on game drives throughout Serengeti National Park. The name "Serengeti" comes from the Maasai word “Siringiti,” meaning "plains without end." True to its name, you'll traverse vast expanses of African savannah in search of the diverse wildlife the Serengeti has to offer. In addition to wildebeests, you can expect to see elephants, lions, cheetahs, elusive leopards, zebras, elands, and a variety of resident and migratory birds.

- Day 4 - Serengeti National Park-Ngorongoro CraterAfter breakfast at your camp or lodge, you'll check out and embark on one final game drive in the Serengeti. You’ll explore the Seronera River Valley, known for its rich wildlife and birdlife, or follow your safari guide's recommendations to discover other prime spots in the park. Your guide will stay in contact with fellow guides via VHF radios, ensuring you visit the best areas for wildlife viewing. Later in the afternoon, you'll drive back to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and check in at a lodge for dinner and your overnight stay. Dinner and overnight accommodations will be at a comfortable mid-range lodge in the Ngorongoro Crater, with all meals included.

You’ll spend most of the morning exploring the crater, which features 600 to 650-meter-high walls and boasts an incredible concentration of wildlife. It’s a prime location to potentially see all of the Big Five in a single day, if luck is on your side. After a picnic lunch, likely at the designated hippo poolside site, you’ll ascend to the crater rim and exit the conservation area. Later in the afternoon, you’ll return to Arusha.
