After an early breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a morning game drive across the crater floor — one of Africa's most extraordinary wildlife arenas. This UNESCO World Heritage Site shelters an incredible concentration of animals within its walls, including lions, elephants, buffalo, hippos, flamingos and, with luck, the endangered black rhino, making it one of the best places in Tanzania to complete your Big Five sightings. Enjoy a picnic lunch by the hippo pool before ascending the crater rim in the afternoon and driving back to Arusha, where your safari ends with drop-off at your hotel or onward transfer.
