At Bwindi impenetrable national park is home to half of the world’s mountain gorillas, whose encounter and consequent eye contact is the most exciting and poignant wildlife encounter in the whole of Africa. This impenetrable forest is the oldest and most biologically diverse rainforest with over 400species of plants and it lies at the edge of the rift valley in southwestern Uganda and protects at least 120 species of mammals, 346 species of birds, 202 species of butterflies, 163 species of trees, 100 species of ferns, 27 species of frogs, chameleons, geckos, among many endangered species. And the park is considered as the world heritage site for mountain gorillas and chimpanzees, the two great African apes listed as endangered animals. Bwindi has gorilla tracking as major tourist attraction with 4 gorilla tracking trailheads and also 9 groups of mountain gorilla families have been habituated and only 8 tourist’s book per group per day. Forest trails in the park lead to various attractions including rivers, waterfalls, swamps and high level of wildlife concentration.

- Day Day 1 - Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Parkin the morning transfer to your hotel for a short rest. Our driver/guide will pick you from your overnight hotel at about 8:45am to embark on the drive to Bwindi via Mbarara with a stopover at the Equator crossing for photography. Continue to make another stop for early lunch at Agip Motel’s restaurant. Thereafter head to Uganda’s impenetrable forest filled with primates and many exotic birds. Dinner and overnight stay at Mahogany Springs (High end lodge). Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

- Day Day 2 - Gorilla Trekking & Batwa Cultural Experience at Bwindi ImpenToday is dedicated to Gorilla tracking which begins at 8:00 am with a briefing from the Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers. Please bring with you a rain jacket, long pants drinking water, snacks, good comfortable hiking shoes/boots, sunscreen, a hat, and insect repellent to enhance your experience. The guides will lead your way into the jungle in search of these shy Primates in the group you have been booked for. Do not forget to take your lunch boxes and all the necessary gear to track the rare Mountain Gorillas which is perhaps one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. Gorilla tours usually involve tracking for about 2 to 8 hours sometimes under a heavy rain down-pour but all the same a worthwhile experience. If time allows, on return from the jungle you will go for a village Walk/community visit for a great opportunity to see how the indigenous people live. This delightful moment in Bwindi takes you to learn and take time to appreciate the life of the local people. Dinner and overnight stay at Mahogany Springs (High end lodge). From outside East Africa, Uganda can be easily accessed either by road or Air and mostly by Air to Entebbe International Airport (EBB). Water transport can also be used to travel in and around our destinations especially the ferry crossing from the Southern part of Murchison Falls National Park to the Northern part of Murchison Falls National Park. Flights to Uganda are cheapest during the rainy seasons from March to May and October to November. The best wildlife viewing months are June to September and December to February, when flights are likely to be more expensive.

- Visas are best obtained in advance through an official online visa-application portal (https://visas.immigration.go.ug/), but they can also be obtained through your local Tanzania Embassy or High Commission.
- Visas can also be obtained on arrival but this is a lengthy process that can take one to two hours.
