This 3 Days short safari gives you an interaction with Uganda’s mountain gorillas I their natural habitat. It gives you a magical hour with these gentle giant apes as you experience how they carry on with their daily activities in atypical jungle. After having a lifetime moment with gentle apes you transfer to lake Bunyonyi Africa’s second deepest lake for a canoe ride and relaxation before you depart off for Kampala/Kigali the following the day. Highlights: Day 1: Pickup from The Airport/ guest house and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park Day 2: Gorilla trekking and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi Day 3: Drive back to Kampala.

  • Day 1 - Pickup from The Airport/ guest house and transfer to Bwindi
    You will be picked up by Pakasa Tours and Safaris company representative from the Airport/ lodge and brief you about your trip to the gorillas, then you will drive to Bwindi impenetrable National park located in the southwestern part of the country driving through the winding roads and rolling hills covered with green gives you a fresh mind as you approach the home to endangered mountain gorillas. You will have a lunch break in Mbarara at Agip motel before proceeding to your final destination. You will reach Bwindi evening for relaxation, dinner and overnight.   • Day 2 - Gorilla trekking and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
    Following breakfast at the lodge, travel to National Park Headquarters to meet your guides for the day and begin your gorilla tracking experience. Experienced guides and trackers will accompany your party on an early morning trek into the dense rain forest on the mountain slopes. The journey, through dense foliage and up steep climbs, is abundantly rewarded with the lifetime experience of viewing mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. You will have an opportunity to be within meters of these magnificent apes, sharing in their daily lives and experiencing their day-to-day activities. Mountain gorillas are extremely rare with only an estimated 880 remaining in the wild. This is an experience you won’t soon forget! After the awesome adventure you will drive to Lake Bunyonyi for relaxation and an overnight

  • Day 3 - Drive back to Kampala.
    After an early breakfast, you will have a boat ride at Lake Bunyonyi to the Akampene island, upside down island among others where you will find out about the rich and interesting cultures of the Bakiga. After the ride you will then drive back to Kampala having a lunch break at Igongo cultural center and then drive to Entebbe to end the Safari.

Getting There

From outside East Africa, Uganda can be easily accessed either by road or Air and mostly by Air to Entebbe International Airport (EBB). Water transport can also be used to travel in and around our destinations especially the ferry crossing from the Southern part of Murchison Falls National Park to the Northern part of Murchison Falls National Park. Flights to Uganda are cheapest during the rainy seasons from March to May and October to November. The best wildlife viewing months are June to September and December to February, when flights are likely to be more expensive.

  • Visas are best obtained in advance through an official online visa-application portal (https://visas.immigration.go.ug/), but they can also be obtained through your local Tanzania Embassy or High Commission.
  • Visas can also be obtained on arrival but this is a lengthy process that can take one to two hours.
  • Tourist visas are available for Uganda only, or East Africa (which covers entry to Uganda, Kenya and Rwanda) for the same cost.
