  • Day 1 - Welcome to Arusha
    Upon your arrival at the airport, our Sarafu representative will warmly greet you and whisk you away to your cozy accommodation in the heart of Arusha. You'll be staying at The Outpost Lodge, our trusted partner nestled in a serene residential area just a stone's throw from the bustling town center. Take this day to unwind, recharge, and prepare for the thrilling experiences that await you.

  • Day 2 - Arusha to Tarangire National Park
    As the sun rises, your personal Sarafu Travel guide will collect you from your Arusha lodge. We'll embark on a scenic journey towards Tarangire National Park, cruising along a well-maintained tarmac road that winds through the delightful Maasai plains, dotted with acacia trees. Along the way, you'll catch glimpses of the vibrant Maasai community, with their colorful attire and traditional way of life. Tarangire National Park beckons with its renowned elephant herds and a rich collection of wildlife. From the elevated vantage point of our state-of-the-art safari jeep, you'll see the beauty of seasonal swamps, sweeping savannas, and the life-sustaining Tarangire River. Be prepared to encounter a wildlife collection, from zebras and wildebeests to majestic elephants and graceful giraffes. Keep your eyes peeled; you might spot lions on the hunt or leopards lounging in the treetops. After an exciting game drive, we'll head to our campsite for a delightful dinner and a restful night.

  • Day 3 - Ngorongoro Crater Rise and shine
    We kick off the day with an early departure to the lush highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Upon reaching the crater rim, we'll descend down a steep track into the remarkable 600-meter deep caldera, where a remarkable collection of animals and birds await. The caldera, formed from a collapsed volcano, is home to over 25,000 mammals, including the illustrious "Big Five" (lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard), as well as more than 500 bird species. After a thorough wildlife safari and a delightful picnic lunch inside the captivating boundaries of the crater, we'll return to Arusha, arriving early in the evening.

  • Visas are best obtained in advance through an official online visa-application portal (https://eservices.immigration.go.tz/visa/), but they can also be obtained through your local Tanzania Embassy or High Commission.
  • Visas can also be obtained on arrival but this is a lengthy process that can take one to two hours.
