The park has varied habitats that include grass savannah, dense bushes, forest, swamp and lakes.   • Day 1 - Transfer to Medley of wonders
    After an early morning breakfast, drive to Queen Elizabeth National park, located in Western Uganda. Make a stop at the Equator for photo shoots with one leg in the southern hemisphere and the other in the northern hemisphere. You can also perform water experiments to justify the geographical divide between the two hemispheres. There are craft centers at the site where you can get yourself a souvenir as remembrance of your safari in Uganda. Another stop is made at the Igongo Cultural Center 12km and to Mbarara town for lunch. Here, you are served organically grown and freshly prepared African cuisine at the famous Byamungu restaurant literally translated as “its all for God”. Proceed driving to arrive in Queen Elizabeth National Park in the evening for relaxation dinner and overnight.

  • Day 2 - Game drive and boat cruise
    Embark on the exciting game drive encounter at 7am after the breakfast to the area where a range of wild game might be encountered including the elephants, water bucks, Uganda Kobs, Buffaloes, Lions, Spotted Hyenas, leopards, Bushbucks among other species. You’ll also get a chance to see other things like the birds such as Palm-nut Vulture, African White-backed Vulture, Hooded Vulture, Ruppell’s Griffon Vulture, among others. Have lunch and head to Mweya penisular for an afternoon boat cruise. The boat encounter on what has been termed the Paradise of hippos features impressive sights of Hippos and Nile crocodiles, birds like the African skimmer, Yellow billed stork and Kingfishers. The wild game can also be encountered during on the channel side. Retreat from the 2 hour activity and do a game drive along the channel track as you connect back to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

  • Day 3 - Chimpanzee trucking and departure
    Wake up for breakfast after which you will connect to the park to kalinzu for chimpanzee trekking experience the magical lush mature tropical forest thriving below sea level supporting counts of chimpanzees. The eventual encounter with the chimpanzees as they munch fruits, make pant hooting calls, socialize, patrol, copulate and roll themselves in tree branches derive an exciting memory that will last for a life time. Retreat from the encounter which tend to take 2 – 5 hours and embark on the transfer to Kampala.

Getting There

From outside East Africa, Uganda can be easily accessed either by road or Air and mostly by Air to Entebbe International Airport (EBB). Water transport can also be used to travel in and around our destinations especially the ferry crossing from the Southern part of Murchison Falls National Park to the Northern part of Murchison Falls National Park. Flights to Uganda are cheapest during the rainy seasons from March to May and October to November. The best wildlife viewing months are June to September and December to February, when flights are likely to be more expensive.

  • When arriving from a yellow-fever-infected country in Africa or the Americas a yellow fever vaccination certificate is required.
  • Citizens of most countries require a visa. A list of countries that don't need a visa is available.
  • Visas are best obtained in advance through an official online visa-application portal (https://visas.immigration.go.ug/), but they can also be obtained through your local Tanzania Embassy or High Commission.
  • Visas can also be obtained on arrival but this is a lengthy process that can take one to two hours.
  • Tourist visas are available for Uganda only, or East Africa (which covers entry to Uganda, Kenya and Rwanda) for the same cost.
