This 3 days tour package takes you on a memorable journey through Rwanda’s beautiful landscapes. Start your adventure from Kigali to Musanze, where you’ll stay at a hotel for a night. Then, visit the Mountain Gorillas in Volcanoes National Park in the morning and explore the Gorilla Guardians Village in the afternoon. The next day, trek to see the Golden Monkeys in Volcanoes National Park and visit the Ellen DeGeneres Campus by Dian Fossey in the afternoon. Finally, transfer back to Kigali for your departure.   • Day 1 - Pick up, Transfer to Musanze, Visit Ellen DeGeneres Campus
    Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you’ll be greeted by your guide and taken on a brief city tour of Kigali. Visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial and learn about Rwanda’s history. After lunch, transfer to Musanze and check into the luxurious Tiloreza Volcanoes Ecolodge. In the afternoon, visit the Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund. Explore the exhibits, including a replica of Dian Fossey’s forest cabin and original artifacts from her work and life. Dinner and overnight stay at Tiloreza Volcanoes Ecolodge.

  • Day 2 - Mountain Gorilla Trekking & Visit Gorilla Guardians Village
    Rise early for your gorilla trekking experience in Volcanoes National Park. After a briefing at the park headquarters, trek through the lush forest to observe a habituated gorilla family. The trek can be challenging, but the reward of seeing these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat is truly unforgettable. Return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, visit the Gorilla Guardians Village to learn about local culture and history through interactive performances and demonstrations. Dinner and overnight stay at Tiloreza Volcanoes Ecolodge.

  • Day 3 - Golden Monkey Trekking & Transfer to Kigali
    After breakfast, head back to Volcanoes National Park for golden monkey trekking. Trek through the bamboo forests to observe these playful primates as they leap from tree to tree. After Golden Monkey trek, transfer back to Kigali. If time allows, visit local markets and handicraft shops before heading to the airport for your departure flight.

There are currently no direct flights from any North American city to Kigali. All require at least one stop, with most major cities, including New York, Toronto, Sao Paolo and Montreal only requiring one stop. Direct flights are available from Amsterdam and Brussels. There are also direct flights on Turkish Airlines, from Istanbul, and from Dubai on Rwanda Air. There are no direct flights from Doha and Qatar. Flights from major cities in Asia, such as Hong Kong and Singapore, also require one stop. Flights from Sydney, Australia presently require two stops.

Rwanda is quite tiny, and most people travel inside the country by car. Rwanda's speed limit is 60 kilometres per hour on all roads. Akagera Aviation, on the other hand, provides charter helicopter transfers to and from any place in the country.

  • When arriving from a yellow-fever-infected country in Africa or the Americas a yellow fever vaccination certificate is required.
  • As of January 2018, citizens of all countries are now eligible for visas on arrival at US$30 for 30 days. More details at www.migration.gov.rw
  • For people visiting Rwanda in conjunction with Kenya and/or Uganda, it is possible to buy a joint visa for all three countries with advance application. See www.migration.gov.rw for details.
