This 15 days Lodge Safari gives you the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful African wilderness in Zambia’s best parks. Spend three days in Lower Zambezi National Park, five days in Kafue National Park (including the world famous Busanga Plains) and four days in South Luangwa National Park.

- Day 1 - LusakaAfter arrival in Lusaka transfer to a small lodge in the outskirts of town. Overnight in chalets at Pioneer Camp or similar. Dinner in a restaurant (-/-/-).

- Day 2, 3 and 4 - Lower Zambezi National ParkAfter breakfast we drive through Lusaka and down the escarpment to the Zambezi valley. A visit to the Lower Zambezi Park is one of the highlights in Zambia. The Zambezi River on the one side and the Escarpment on the other form the backdrop of our game viewing. We do game drives in the Park and boating along the river shore to watch the animals come to drink. On one of these days we will do a sunset boat cruise on the Zambezi. We stay overnight in chalets at Kasaka Lodge or Lower Zambezi Lodge on the banks of the Zambezi River (3x FB)

- Day 5 - via Lusaka to Kafue NPToday we drive up the escarpment and back to Lusaka, where we do some shopping for the next days in the bush. In the afternoon we carry on to Kafue National Park, where we stay in chalets at Mukambi Lodge on the bank of the Kafue River. (FB)

- Day 6 and 7 - Busanga Plains - northern part of Kafue NPEarly start and transfer in north-western direction to Busanga Plains This area can only be visited in a very limited time of the year. You will spend 2 days in this remote wilderness to explore the area on game drives Overnight in Kasonso Camp (2x FB).

- Day 8 and 9 - Kafue National Park – north-eastern part:After a last morning game drive we drive back to the Lufupa River, where a boat is waiting for us for a transfer upstream to Hippo Lodge. This part of the river impresses with its beautiful riverine scenery. We will do game drives in this area on day 9. Overnight in Chalets of Hippo Lodge. (2x FB).

- Day 10 - LusakaWe leave the park and carry on to Lusaka, where we will spend the afternoon at the lodge of do some shopping in the capital. Overnight in chalets at Wilddog Lodge or similar. Dinner in the restaurant. (B/L/-).

- Day 11 - Flight to South Luangwa NPTransfer to the airport Lusaka and flight to the airport in Mfuwe. Transfer to our lodge next to the Luangwa River. On this afternoon there is no activity included. A night game drive can be booked with the lodge (optional). Overnight in chalets of Marula Lodge or safari tents at Wildlife Camp or similar (B/-/D).

- Day 12, 13 and 14 - South Luangwa National ParkSouth Luangwa NP is known for its abundance of African wildlife: Thorneycroft’s giraffe, Cookson’s Gnu, Crawshay Zebra, and big herds of buffalo and elephant. Game drives along the Luangwa River often produce spectacular sightings. Hippo families can be seen in great numbers in the river, unparalleled in Africa. The colourful Carmine bee-eaters are often seen perching in front of their nests in the riverbanks. Overnight in chalets of Marula Lodge or safari tents at Wildlife Camp or similar (3x FB).

Getting There
Zambia's main airport is Kenneth Kaunda International Airport (LUN), found 14km from the capital, Lusaka. From Lusaka, you can fly or drive between reserves. When your safari is joined with a visit to Victoria Falls, you will undoubtedly fly in or out of Livingstone Airport (LVI), right outside of Livingstone and near the falls. In most cases, your local tour administrator will orchestrate pick-up from the airport and arrange further transportation as a feature of your safari package.

Travel Requirements
- All foreign visitors need a passport that is valid for at least six months
- Passports must have minimum of three blank pages
- Citizens from most nationalities do not require a visa and will get a 30-day entry permit on arrival.
- When arriving from a country in Africa or the Americas where yellow fever is present, a yellow fever vaccination certificate is required.
- If you are visiting Zambia and Zimbabwe, there is a joint visa for both countries available at all major ports of entry into Zambia and Zimbabwe.
