Tsavo East National Park is one of the oldest parks in Kenya, located South East of Kenya near the Town of Voi in the Taita-Taveta District of Coast Province, inland from the Coast, it is 13,747 sq.km. The slightly larger Tsavo East is generally flat, with dry plains across which the Galana River flows. Other features include the Yatta Plateau and Lugard Falls. Tour Summary: 5:45 am: Pick up at your Mombasa residence. 6:00 am: Depart for the Tsavo East National Park 9:00 am: Begin your game viewing drive in search for big game 1:00 pm: Enjoy sumptuous lunch at a park hotel. 2:30 pm: Head out with a game viewing drive. 4:00 pm: Leave the Park and drive back to the Coastal City. 6:30 pm: Drop off at your hotel ITINERARY. Depart Mombasa early morning and head to Tsavo National Park. It’s advisable to carry a packed breakfast as you are picked up at 5: 30 am. You will have an opportunity to watch the sunrise on your drive. Arrive Tsavo East Gate and after a brief stop begin your game-viewing drive. The park is popular mostly due to the diverse wildlife that can be seen, including the famous ‘big five’ consisting of lion, black rhino, Cape buffalo, elephant, and leopard. The park is also home to a great variety of bird life. You will take amazing photos of wildlife and plains. Drive to a Park hotel for lunch and swimming after an exciting morning safari. Mid-afternoon continue with the game drive as you head out of the park and to Mombasa. On arrival transfer to your hotel.

Kenya's main airport is Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO), located 15km/9mi southeast of Nairobi. Kenya's second international Airport is Moi International Airport (MBA), located 9km/6mi west of Mombasa, but aside from flights to Zanzibar, this is primarily used for domestic and charter flights.
From Nairobi or Mombasa, one can fly or drive between reserves, or opt to do a bit of both. Most domestic flights out of Nairobi depart from Wilson Airport (WIL), 6km/4mi south of Nairobi.
