    Upon arrival at Mfuwe Airport, you will be warmly welcomed and transferred by road to Croc Valley Camp, set on the banks of the Luangwa River opposite South Luangwa National Park. This first day is designed for rest and gentle adjustment after your journey, allowing you to settle into your safari surroundings and enjoy the sights and sounds of the African bush.


    After check-in, you are free to relax and familiarize yourself with the camp at your own pace. Take in the peaceful river views, listen to the calls of wildlife, or simply unwind after your travels while soaking in the natural beauty of the area.


    No scheduled activities are planned on arrival day, giving you the freedom to rest and ease into the safari experience. As evening falls, enjoy a memorable dinner under the stars, where lantern light, open skies, and distant wildlife sounds provide a perfect introduction to your adventure in South Luangwa.

    After breakfast, your safari adventure truly begins as you are introduced to one of Zambia’s best-kept secrets, South Luangwa National Park. This remarkable wilderness offers an authentic and untamed safari experience, where Zambia’s wild heart reveals itself through vast landscapes, abundant wildlife, and a deep connection to nature. Timeless days unfold as you explore the park on expertly guided game drives, while evenings echo with the thrilling sounds of nocturnal animals.


    Renowned for its exceptional walking safaris and night game drives (which can be organized at extra cost), the park provides close encounters with wildlife in their natural habitat. Two game drives are included each day — one in the morning and one in the afternoon — along with all meals at the camp.

  • Day 4 - Morning Game Drive and Departure

Returning to the camp, you will have time to freshen up before loading your luggage and preparing for departure. Getting There

Zambia's main airport is Kenneth Kaunda International Airport (LUN), found 14km from the capital, Lusaka. From Lusaka, you can fly or drive between reserves. When your safari is joined with a visit to Victoria Falls, you will undoubtedly fly in or out of Livingstone Airport (LVI), right outside of Livingstone and near the falls. In most cases, your local tour administrator will orchestrate pick-up from the airport and arrange further transportation as a feature of your safari package.

Travel Requirements

  • All foreign visitors need a passport that is valid for at least six months
  • Passports must have minimum of three blank pages
  • Citizens from most nationalities do not require a visa and will get a 30-day entry permit on arrival.
  • When arriving from a country in Africa or the Americas where yellow fever is present, a yellow fever vaccination certificate is required.
  • If you are visiting Zambia and Zimbabwe, there is a joint visa for both countries available at all major ports of entry into Zambia and Zimbabwe.
