    Upon your arrival your driver guide will meet you at the airport and have a general briefing of your trip. You will then drive to your hotel where you will stay for the night.

  • Day 2 - KIGALI - NYUNGWE NATIONAL PARK

    DAY 2: KIGALI - NYUNGWE NATIONAL PARK

    Pick up from the Hotel at 8:00am after breakfast, drive to Nyungwe national park, Via Butare for a visit to King’s Palace and National Museum then Proceed to Nyungwe National park.

  • Day 3 - CHIMPANZEE TREKKING/ CANOPY WALK

    DAY 3: CHIMPANZEE TREKKING/ CANOPY WALK

    Enjoy an early breakfast at your lodge, Embark on a thrilling hike in search of chimpanzee communities. The Rwandan chimpanzee population is thought to consist of approx. 400-500 individuals, Afternoon will go for the adventure of Canopy Walk which is a very exciting, The canopy walk consist of three bridges and three towers, The total length of the canopy walk way is 150 meters. After the canopy you will go back to your hotel for night rest.

    Have your Breakfast as you enjoy the fresh rain forest breeze, then proceed with the drive to the Volcanoes national park the main base town for Gorilla trekking.

  • Day 5 - MOUNTAIN GORILLA TREKKING EXPERIENCE

    DAY 5: MOUNTAIN GORILLA TREKKING EXPERIENCE

    After your morning wake-up call and breakfast report to the park headquarters, for gorilla trekking formalities and briefing by the Volcanoes National Park’s guides on the gorillas’ etiquette. After locating your assigned Gorilla group you will spend one hour in their company before retracing your steps back down the volcano slopes. Afternoon Visit Gorilla guardian village.

  • Day 6 - KIGALI CITY TOUR&KIGALI BY NIGHT

    After breakfast, you will then drive back to Kigali, for a city tour including a visit to the Genocide Memorial site, Learn about Rwanda’s history from pre-colonial times to the 1994 genocide and how Rwanda has dealt with that past. We enjoy lunch at a restaurant in Kigali. Our driver guide will be at your disposal to offer a possible souvenir shopping expedition in Kigali.

Getting There

Kigali International Airport (KGL), on the outskirts of Kigali, would most likely be your point of entry point into the country. There are currently no direct flights from any North American city to Kigali. All require at least one stop, with most major cities, including New York, Toronto, Sao Paolo and Montreal only requiring one stop. Direct flights are available from Amsterdam and Brussels. There are also direct flights on Turkish Airlines, from Istanbul, and from Dubai on Rwanda Air. There are no direct flights from Doha and Qatar. Flights from major cities in Asia, such as Hong Kong and Singapore, also require one stop. Flights from Sydney, Australia presently require two stops.

Rwanda is quite tiny, and most people travel inside the country by car. Rwanda's speed limit is 60 kilometres per hour on all roads. Akagera Aviation, on the other hand, provides charter helicopter transfers to and from any place in the country.

  • For people visiting Rwanda in conjunction with Kenya and/or Uganda, it is possible to buy a joint visa for all three countries with advance application. See www.migration.gov.rw for details.
