- Day DAY 2 - Sunrise Hot Air Balloon Safari & Full-Day Game Drive
Rise before dawn for one of Africa's most extraordinary experiences—a sunrise hot air balloon safari over the breathtaking Masai Mara. As the sun slowly rises above the horizon, drift silently across the vast savannah, taking in spectacular panoramic views while spotting wildlife from the air, including elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and, if you're lucky, the Big Five. Upon landing, celebrate this unforgettable adventure with a traditional champagne bush breakfast served in the heart of the wilderness. Return to your lodge for a short rest before heading out for a full-day game drive with picnic lunch, exploring different areas of the reserve in search of lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, buffaloes, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, and an incredible variety of birdlife. Accompanied by your professional safari guide, explore diverse habitats in search of the Big Five, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, hyenas, hippos, crocodiles, and a remarkable variety of bird species. Your guide will take you to some of the reserve's most productive wildlife-viewing areas while sharing fascinating insights into the animals' behavior and the Mara's unique ecosystem. Transfer to the airstrip with an en-route game drive, making the most of your final opportunity to spot wildlife as you journey through the reserve. Keep your camera ready for any last sightings of lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, or other remarkable animals that may cross your path. Upon arrival at the airstrip, board your scheduled flight back to Nairobi, enjoying breathtaking aerial views of the endless savannah and the Great Rift Valley. On arrival at Wilson Airport, you will be met by a Wookar Adventures representative and transferred to either Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward international flight or to your preferred hotel within Nairobi, marking the end of an unforgettable safari filled with extraordinary wildlife encounters, breathtaking landscapes, and cherished memories. Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or after breakfast at your Nairobi hotel, you will be warmly welcomed by a Wookar Adventures representative and transferred to Wilson Airport for your scheduled flight to the world-renowned Masai Mara National Reserve. Enjoy breathtaking aerial views of Kenya's diverse landscapes as you fly over the Great Rift Valley and rolling plains before landing in the heart of the Mara. Upon arrival, your professional safari guide will receive you and transfer you to your safari camp or lodge, with an en-route game drive offering your first opportunity to spot wildlife. Check in and enjoy a delicious lunch before spending the afternoon at leisure. Later, embark on your first exciting evening game drive across the reserve, searching for the Big Five and other remarkable wildlife as the African sunset paints the savannah in golden hues. Most domestic flights out of Nairobi depart from Wilson Airport (WIL), 6km/4mi south of Nairobi.
