This 8-Day Kilimanjaro Marangu Route Trek offers a classic hut-to-hut climbing experience with 6 trekking days on the mountain. Known as the famous Coca-Cola Route, Marangu is the only Kilimanjaro route that provides accommodation in permanent mountain huts instead of camping, offering more comfort and protection from wind and rain. The trek begins with arrival and overnight at Weruweru River Lodge, where you will receive a full pre-trek briefing and gear check. You will then hike through rainforest, moorland, alpine desert, and finally reach the summit of Uhuru Peak (5,895m), the highest point in Africa. After a successful summit attempt, you will descend back to Marangu Gate and transfer to Arusha for your post-trek overnight stay. This package includes both pre and post accommodation, private transfers, experienced mountain crew, meals on the mountain, and all park and hut fees, ensuring a smooth, safe, and unforgettable Kilimanjaro adventure.

- Day 1 - Arrival Day – Transfer to Weruweru River Lodge
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be met by our representative and transferred to Weruweru River Lodge. Later in the day, you will receive a detailed briefing, route orientation, and full gear check with your mountain guide. Relax and enjoy dinner before your climb.

- Day 2 - Marangu Gate – Mandara Hut
After breakfast, drive to Marangu Gate (1,905m) for registration and start your trek. Hike through the lush rainforest, where you may spot colobus monkeys and colorful birdlife. Arrive at Mandara Hut (2,723m) for dinner and overnight.

- Day 3 - Mandara Hut – Horombo Hut
After breakfast, continue trekking as the forest opens into moorland. Enjoy stunning views of Mawenzi and Kibo Peaks as you cross ridges and valleys. Arrive at Horombo Hut (3,721m) for dinner and overnight.

- Day 4 - Acclimatization Day – Horombo Hut
This day is dedicated to acclimatization to increase summit success. After breakfast, take a guided acclimatization hike toward Zebra Rocks / Mawenzi Ridge area, then return to Horombo Hut for lunch and rest.

- Day 5 - Horombo Hut – Kibo Hut
After breakfast, begin your trek across the alpine desert landscape of the Saddle, located between Mawenzi and Kibo Peaks. The scenery becomes more open and dramatic. Arrive at Kibo Hut (4,714m) in the afternoon for dinner and early rest before summit night.

- Day 6 - Kibo Hut – Uhuru Peak – Horombo Hut
Around midnight, start the summit climb. The trail is steep and challenging, but reaching the crater rim at sunrise is unforgettable. Pass Gilman’s Point, then continue to Uhuru Peak (5,895m), the Roof of Africa. After photos and celebration, descend back to Kibo Hut for rest and lunch, then continue down to Horombo Hut for dinner and overnight.
