As you trek through towering trees draped in moss, you may encounter colobus monkeys, duikers, and a variety of exotic bird species.

Afterward, the path descends into the beautiful Barranco Valley, filled with giant groundsels and towering lobelias. The mesmerizing views of Kilimanjaro’s southern glaciers make this one of the most scenic sections of the entire route.
