  • Day 1 - Fly to Arba Minch

    You'll depart for Arba Minch at 7:10, arriving at 8:15 am. You'll be greeted at the airport and transferred to your accommodation. You'll enjoy breakfast and check in. You'll head to Dorze village, situated in the Gughe Mountains. You'll admire the iconic beehive-shaped huts and learn about the Dorze people's traditional weaving and vibrant dance culture. You'll return to Arba Minch for a late lunch.

    In the afternoon, you'll take a leisurely walk in the lush Arba Minch Forest Park. You'll enjoy dinner at the hotel. Your overnight stay will be at Arba Minch Tourist Hotel.

  • Day 2 - Lake Chamo – Konso Village – Turmi

    After an early breakfast, you'll drive to Lake Chamo for a boat trip to the "crocodile market," where you can spot hippos, Africa's largest crocodiles, and various bird species. You'll head to Konso for lunch before exploring one of the nine UNESCO-listed villages.


    The Konso people are known for their unique "generation poles," which signify the passage of time and generations in the village. You'll continue your journey to Turmi, which takes about four hours. Your overnight stay will be at Emerald Lodge, Turmi.

  • Day 3 - Drive to Kara Village

    After breakfast, you'll set off for Kara Village, home to approximately 3,000 people along the eastern banks of the Omo River. The Kara are recognized for their stunning villages and the body painting traditions of their children. After visiting the village, you'll return to Turmi for lunch.


    In the afternoon, if circumstances allow, witness a traditional bull-jumping ceremony—a rite of passage for young men. Alternatively, you can observe a special event where female family members express their loyalty to the groom's family through a ceremonial whipping. If there is no bull-jumping ceremony, explore a Hamer village instead. Your overnight stay will be at Emerald Lodge, Turmi.

  • Day 4 - Visit to Dassanech Tribe and Drive to Jinka

    Drive to Omorate to cross the Omo River and visit a Dassanech village. Remember to bring your passports for this trip, as Omorate is near the Kenyan border and requires immigration documentation. Return to Turmi for lunch before checking out and driving to Jinka. on the ways, visit Mursi Tribe popular women of this tribe are known for wearing large clay lip plates as adornment, while men showcase intricate body paint designs.

  • Day 5 - Jinka Back to Addis Ababa

Most of the visitors arrive at the Bole International Airport (ADD) in Addis Ababa. Usually, the Safari operator picks you up at the airport and takes care of any travel arrangements from there. If you are already in the region it’s possible to get in by land from Sudan, Kenya and Djibouti. It is best to stay away from the borders of South Sudan and Somalia. Drive-around tours are also available (especially in southern Ethiopia). Even when flying around, covering some distances by car can be very rewarding as you'll see some of the Ethiopian countrysides.

  • For certain countries, A tourist visa can also be issued on arrival at Bole International Airport.
  • When arriving from a country in Africa or the Americas where yellow fever is present, a yellow fever vaccination certificate is required.
