Pick up from airport and transfer to the hotel where you will get a detailed briefing from your guide and also acclimatize to the high altitude of Rwanda

- Day 2 - RURAL IMMERSION & CULTURE–AZIZI LIFE EXPERIENCE
Day 2: RURAL IMMERSION & CULTURE–AZIZI LIFE EXPERIENCE
In the morning you will travel from Kigali to Ruhango with Azizi Life. Where you will be welcomed at Azizi Campus, and then introduced to a rural community through a traditional ceremony.
The day includes hands-on activities such as traditional cooking with local ingredients, farming experiences, and learning about rural water collection methods. After lunch, participants engage in cultural crafts like weaving, along with traditional music and dance. The experience ends with reflection, feedback, and farewell refreshments before returning to Kigali.

- Day 3 - KIGALI GENOCIDE MEMORIAL-TRANSFER TO AKAGERA NATIONAL PARK
DAY 3: KIGALI GENOCIDE MEMORIAL-TRANSFER TO AKAGERA NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast start a historical-minded exploration of Kigali city with visits to, Kigali Genocide memorial site where over 250,000 genocide victims were put to rest in mass graves.
Lunch and transfer to Akagera National Park.

- Day 4 - AKAGERA AND TRANSFER TO VOLCANOES NATIONAL PARK
DAY 4: AKAGERA AND TRANSFER TO VOLCANOES NATIONAL PARK
After your breakfast you will start your tour in akagera national park, where You’ll get the opportunity to see 11 species of antelopes, over 480 species of birds including the rare ones such as the shoe bill stock, papyrus gonolek and the big 5 i.e. Lion, Leopard, Rhino, Buffalo and Elephant. Volcanoes National Park in Musanze which is the gateway to Volcanoes National Park, home to mountain gorillas and golden monkeys.

DAY 5: ELLEN DE GENERES CAMPUS
Travel to Volcanoes National Park and visit the Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund. Learn about Rwanda’s world-renowned mountain gorilla conservation efforts through interactive exhibits before checking in to your lodge near the park.

- Day 6 - GORILLA TREKKING
DAY 6: GORILLA TREKKING
After breakfast at 06:20 we transfer to the park reception, completing our park formalities then embark on a once in a life time experience of tracking mountain gorillas. Once you spot them you are allowed to spend an hour watching your closest long-lost cousin.
Be back at the base and meet your driver guide who will then take you to the hotel to refresh and have lunch.

- Day 7 - GOLDEN MONKEY
DAY 7: GOLDEN MONKEY
After breakfast, transfer to the Park headquarters for Golden monkeys trekking which takes place in Volcanoes national. These rare species are also listed as endangered – and Volcanoes national park currently has two habituated golden monkeys’ troops that are available for visiting by tourists in the park, both of which make about 80 members.
Trekking golden monkeys and gorillas is a similar experience – in a small group of people, and you can spend one hour with the monkeys once you find them. After transfer to Lake Kivu

Travel to the picturesque shores of Lake Kivu, one of Africa’s Great Lakes. Spend the day relaxing in the peaceful lakeside environment, enjoying the scenic views, taking a leisurely walk along the waterfront, or simply unwinding later on go to your hotel for dinner and overnight.

DAY 9: TRANSFER TO NYUNGWE N.P – CANOPY WALK WAY
After your breakfast you’ll drive to Nyungwe forest, This national park is the largest tropical afro Montane rainforest east or central Africa and a rainforest, Nyungwe is also home to over 300 different bird species, many butterflies, orchids, 75 mammal species including the 13 primates, and there have also been the sightings of the golden monkeys.
Reaching to the park you will go to the park reception, be briefed walk to the famous canopy walk way. A 70 m high and 160m long artificial bridge which allows you to see beautiful views of this old forest from the top. You will also get chance to see some birds at the tree crowns.

DAY 10: CHIMPANZEE TRACKING & DEPARTURE
After your early breakfast then drive to the edge of the forest where chimpanzee trekking in Nyungwe starts you will go with experienced trekking guides and trackers who will give you exciting information about the humans’ closest relative in DNA composition, you will spend up to an hour following and watching the chimpanzees once you spot them.
After lunch you will transfer back to Kigali for your departure.

Getting There
Kigali International Airport (KGL), on the outskirts of Kigali, would most likely be your point of entry point into the country. There are currently no direct flights from any North American city to Kigali. All require at least one stop, with most major cities, including New York, Toronto, Sao Paolo and Montreal only requiring one stop. Direct flights are available from Amsterdam and Brussels. There are also direct flights on Turkish Airlines, from Istanbul, and from Dubai on Rwanda Air. There are no direct flights from Doha and Qatar. Flights from major cities in Asia, such as Hong Kong and Singapore, also require one stop. Flights from Sydney, Australia presently require two stops.
Rwanda is quite tiny, and most people travel inside the country by car. Rwanda's speed limit is 60 kilometres per hour on all roads. Akagera Aviation, on the other hand, provides charter helicopter transfers to and from any place in the country.

- For people visiting Rwanda in conjunction with Kenya and/or Uganda, it is possible to buy a joint visa for all three countries with advance application. See www.migration.gov.rw for details.
