Murchison Falls National Park lies at the northern end of the Albertine Rift Valley, where the sweeping Bunyoro escarpment tumbles into vast, palm-dotted savanna. First gazetted as a game reserve in 1926, it is Uganda’s largest and oldest conservation area, hosting 76 species of mammals and 451 birds. The park is bisected by the Victoria Nile, which plunges 45m over the remnant rift valley wall, creating the dramatic Murchison Falls, the centerpiece of the park.

1To Murchison Falls via Ziwa Rhino sanctuary
Early in the morning, We will pick you from the hotel or guesthouse and set off for Murchison Falls National park. We will stop at Ziwa Rhino sanctuary for tracking the reintroduced white Rhinos and also have lunch here before continuing our trip to MFNP.

2In Murchison Falls National Park
The day will be spent on game drives. We will leave early morning and go on a game drive from 8am to 12noon, seeing several animals including lions and giraffes. In the afternoon (2pm to 5pm) we will go on the impressive launch trip on the Nile, up to the falls, giving you a chance to see hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, elephants and many different birds.

3To Entebbe Airport
After breakfast, we will make a final morning game drive in the park and after the last part of the journey will bring us back to Kampala. We will bring you back to your hotel or Entebbe Airport for your flight.

Getting There
From outside East Africa, Uganda can be easily accessed either by road or Air and mostly by Air to Entebbe International Airport (EBB). Water transport can also be used to travel in and around our destinations especially the ferry crossing from the Southern part of Murchison Falls National Park to the Northern part of Murchison Falls National Park. Flights to Uganda are cheapest during the rainy seasons from March to May and October to November. The best wildlife viewing months are June to September and December to February, when flights are likely to be more expensive.
